The holiday season is behind us, and as the glitter settles, I’m left reflecting on one chaotic moment that turned into a powerful life lesson. Picture this: we had the Christmas lights display of the century — twinkling, glowing, a beacon of holiday cheer. Then, suddenly, the weekend before Christmas, darkness. The breaker flipped, which of course was the circuit that had the wifi and the biggest tv in the house. No problem, right? 😳 I flipped it back on and carried on. But it kept happening. Again. And again.


Finally, after one too many interruptions, I stopped treating the symptom and dug into the root cause. The culprit? A programmable timer had shorted out and — wait for it — almost caught fire! 🫠 We were bandaid-fixing a literal fire hazard! This got me thinking: how often do we do this in life? Slap on a quick fix instead of addressing the deeper issue?
